Strategic - tactical client

One way to classify your audience is by the time dimension of when they make decisions. This creates two types of classifications: strategic VS tactical. The distinction between these roles is how much information your target audience needs to take into account when making a decision.
Strategic audiences is generally looking for an overview of their business and the general direction in which we’re heading. Most people in strategic positions won’t have the time or need to get into the nitty gritty details of the data.

Tactical audiences need their data to be fresh and flowing. This means the data they need in order to make their decisions are current, which also means there should be a clear indication on the dashboards about the last time the data was refreshed and potentially how long before the next refresh happens. Tactical audiences make decisions quickly and the decimal point could very well matter.
